Biography of Ambassador Guo Shaochun

Mr. Guo Shaochun, born in February 1968 in Fujian Province, P.R. China, a graduate of master degree in Public Policy.

Mr. Guo joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in 1990. Mr. Guo worked as, among his many posts, attache in the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, counsellor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of the Philippines and Deputy Director General of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress.

Before assuming his office as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Zimbabwe, Mr. Guo was the the Director General of the department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mr. Guo is married with one daughter.
